A substantial number of high school students will need to take and score well on at least one SAT Subject Test as part of the college application process. SAT Subject Tests are available for nearly every academic subject, including Math, Spanish, French, Literature, Physics, Chemistry, and World History. It is recommended that students take Subject Tests that coincide with their current coursework; for example, a student preparing for their Pre-Calculus exam in May should take the Math II Subject test in May or June.

Much like AP exams, the Subjects Tests require a mastery of complex, subject-specific knowledge. Subsequently, our Subject Test instructors are experts in both strategy and high-level academic content. Because of the obvious variability between Subject Tests, our instructors must implement programs that are customized for each exam and each student. Lastly, our Subject Test instructors regularly take newly published practice exams to keep themselves apprised of changes in content.

Our Directors have created a recommended Subject Test curriculum after years of research on existing test prep resources and collaborations with veteran tutors. Just like our other college entrance exam programs, programs are built from students’ performance on official SAT Subject Tests.

Our Directors have rich backgrounds in test preparation and work in concert with tutors to create the best, most individualized Subject Test prep programs available. Based on tutors’ lesson notes and students’ diagnostic exam performance, Directors can make valuable alterations to programming and ensure that students are seeing optimal improvement.
