ACT Prep

Since its inception in 1959, the ACT has provided a favorable alternative to the SAT. Nowadays, the exam is nearly as popular as the SAT and is ubiquitously accepted by major liberal arts colleges and universities. Because of its curriculum-based content and straightforward question-structure, some students may prefer it to the SAT. However, there is no conclusive evidence that one exam is more or less difficult than the other.

Here are the primary features of our one-to-one ACT programming:

Experienced ACT Specialists

Our ACT instructors have graduated from the nation’s best universities – oftentimes the same institutions that their students are applying to! In addition to having several years of professional ACT prep experience, Launch Education Group instructors are repeatedly tested and must score in the 99th percentile on all sections of the exam. Moreover, our ACT tutors are talented academic mentors who can teach the content that underlies the exam.

Exceptional ACT Materials and Diagnostic Exams

Our Directors have created a recommended ACT curriculum after years of research on existing test prep resources and collaborations with veteran tutors. In addition to the finest texts and workbooks available, our ACT programs draw from 20 realistic tests (including 5 official exams), which are used for diagnostic purposes and lesson material. Diagnostic tests measure performance across nearly 50 content areas and allow us to determine the most effective strategies and materials for each individual student.

Around-the-Clock Oversight and Lesson Notes

Our Directors have rich backgrounds in test preparation and work in concert with tutors to create the best, most individualized ACT prep programs in Los Angeles and New York. Based on tutors’ lesson notes and students’ diagnostic exam performance, Directors can make valuable alterations to programming and ensure that prep is both effective and economical for families.
